"Enjoy a view with a thrill" - let's try the highline179! :)
Our plan is to start in Reutte and walk approx. 4km to the astonishing, over 400m long and 114m high bridge which is connecting Ehrenberg Castle ruins and Fort Claudia. More details are available at the website: https://www.highline179.tirol/en
After this panoramic bridge-walk we will continue with an easy hike at Mühlwaldrundweg towards Heiterwanger Lake, which is quite famous of its pictures.
Technical difficulty:
This hike is described as an easy one, however you should be able to walk with the group long distances and have no vertigo.
Planning
06:50 - Meeting at Platform 27 Munich HBF
07:13 - Train RE4871 to Reutte in Tirol
09:30 - Start hiking
16:37 / 17:09 / 18:32 - Train to Munich
Travel with the train takes approx. 2h15min each way.
What to bring:
- hiking boots
- food and drinks for the entire day
- sunscreen
- it's strongly recommended to have DAV membership or incurance covering accidents in the mountains
There will be probably no snow on the way, weather forecast looks perfect but be prepared for any conditions and have some warm clothes with you.
Cost per person:
- Train ticket: between 10-14€ per person (bring coins!)
- Entrance to the bridge: 8€ per person
