Hike to Beichle, which is canton Luzern’s peak from 2023 edition of 26 Summits (https://26summits.ch/)

Route: Flühli - Beichle - Escholzmatt

Route description: https://26summits.ch/gipfel-und-touren/lu-beichle/ (in the opposite direction)

Pace: Moderate. We'll try to have a continuous pace, with some breaks, but not too many. This is not a hike suitable for beginners without hiking experience, as we'll gain around 1000m of altitude.

Starting point: Flühli LU, Torbach Post. For people taking public transport, we’ll meet at Zurich HB shortly before the train departure.

How to get there: Train IR 70, direction Luzern departs at 08:10 from Zurich HB, platform 8. Change in Luzern to train RE, direction Bern. Then change in Schüpfheim to bus B 241, direction Sörenberg, Post. Considering that this hike is not a loop, going by car might be difficult (it might be possible to leave the car in Schüpfheim and reach the start and end of the hike from there).

How to get back: Train from Escholzmatt to Luzern, then train to Zurich HB.

What to take: Regular hiking equipment, in particular comfortable shoes (hiking boots or trail running shoes); food - we’ll have picnic lunch at the top; water; sunscreen; sunglasses; tick spray; rain jacket.
