Hey there, 

this is a mid-level hike with a few steep parts and a beautiful view over Salzburg. It's easily accessible by public transport, from Salzburg or Munich (an extra bus ticket is required in addition to your Deutschland ticket 4.50 for 24 hours). Also accessible by car, there is a parking. 

Departure time: 

From Munich Hbf: 6:55 train to Salzburg, then take a bus no21 Salzburg Paracelsusstraße to Glanegg b.Salzburg Ortsmitte

Salzburg Paracelsusstraße:  bus no21 to Glanegg b.Salzburg Ortsmitte

From Munich by car: 1:30-2h drive

Gear: 

  • hiking/trail running boots (no sneakers) 
  • passport, some cash 
  • water bottle
  • snacks 

Optional: 

  • hiking poles 
  • sun screen
  • DAV / ÖAV member card (mountain insurance)
