Decent weather prognose for sunday. Let's visit Solothurn's highest peak - Hasenmatt. Standing at 1441m, it is snow free and a great peak for the start of the season. The hike will be a loop with around 1100 m up&down. We will go on a moderate pace with enough pauses. At the top we should take a longer break to enjoy the views. On a very sunny day also mountains like Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau are seen. 

Carpool: We will leave by car from Zurich at around 7:15 AM. The ride will be ca. 1h till starting point. We park there at Schützenhaus Grenchen - Bettlach. For those who will come with the train you should take this train itinerary from Zurich HB:

• 6:30 - depart IC5 train direction Lausanne
• 7:33 - arrive at Grenchen Süd
• 7:37 - bus number 24 from Grenchen Süd
• 7:42 - arrive Bettlach, Krone 
• 30min walk till the parking "Schützenhaus Grenchen - Bettlach" where we meet 

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T2. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T2.

Lunch: We will probably have lunch at the top. I will bring a sandwich with, there are also some huts at the top, we could stop also in one of them. Please bring enough of water with. 

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots
  
• Cash for the car ride (15chf), and for the food at the hut
• Food/drinks for the way
• Warm clothes

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 24 hours.
