Hike Profile

Meeting Point: In front of Platform # 28, Munich Hbf

Meeting Time: 06:45 am, Saturday 01.06.2019

Total Distance: ~20 km

Total Elevation gain: 1000 m (It depends how much we could do)

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3 (mostly T2 though). Please read the blog by Thomas to understand the requirement for T2/3 sac scale. In general, this is not suitable for beginners, and you should have some fitness to make 1000 elevation gain in winter gain without any problems.

Things to bring:

1.         Hiking boots.

2.         Hiking Poles.

3.         Gaiters and Spikes.

4.         Enough water and food for yourself (there are a couple of huts on the way, we might stop at one of them).

5.         Cash for the ticket.

6.         Warm clothes. Rain jacket, depending on the weather.

7.         Headlamp.

8.         Most importantly a smiling face and a happy vibe.

9.         I highly encourage people to take the DAV or any other membership.

Note: Please don’t join the hike if you want to come back early or if you don’t like to be photographed: P.  Please unjoin the event well in advance if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Very Important!                                    Very Important!                                  Very Important!

Going to the mountains like any other adventures tours are always risky, sometimes it might be life threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description in to, look into the route details and to make it familiarise with themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own. If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happens they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else!

I am looking forward to seeing you!
