Dear hiking buddies.

I would like to Grosser Mythen again.
The hike is T3-T4 on the Top, T6 is just a mistake from the page.

Might be one of the hikes most of you have done already, but it is always worth doint it.

Great views, great training for the coming season, great Mandelgipfeli at the top :D.

Time Frame:

09:30 meet and start

Picnic at the summit (30-60 min break at the top)

about 18:00 back at the station

Arrival from Zurich HB:

08:32 Zurich HB, track 6, IR 46 direction Locarno

09:01 arrival in Schwyz

09:11 departure Schwyz, area C, Bus 503 3042 to Rickenbach SZ, Stalden

09:23 arrival 

Hike:

quite some height meters, steep paths sometimes

We will be in the forest for the first hours, going up to the hiking paths between Grosser Mythen and Kleiner Mythen. Nice, views, beautiful area. Then round the big mountain to the hut called Holzegg.

From there we take a steep mountain path up to the summit.

No climbing involved, but not a normal footpath.

Good shoes and coordination required.

When we go back it is possible to take the cable car from Rothenfluh or walk down with us.

!!The mountain path on top is dangerous if it rains, so in that case the hike will not happen and we will go somewhere else!!

Picnic:

Good old picnic on the top of the mountain. There is a hut with drinks and food.

Equipment:

No specific equipment needed, apart from hiking boots.

Application:

As always there is the possibility to come by car.

Join the car pool and either create a car yourself or have a look who can take you there.

For those who come by public transport please create a "car" in the carpool with as many seats as possible and use "public transport" as a description. That way others can join that one and we keep a good overview.

No maximum number of participants.
