Description

Round trip around and up Gross Mythen, starting in Rickenbach bei Schwytz.

Optional descend via cable car.

The trail is not particularly dangerous, but note the path to the summit is exposed in places with steep drop offs. Classified T3.

Good to know

Minimum hiking gear:


  • Hiking shoes (and poles)
  • Appropriate mountaineering attire for the Season
  • Backpack with Warm & Rain clothes, no matter the weather forecast
  • Hat & Gloves
  • Sun glasses, Sun hat & sun cream
  • Water & Food for picnic
  • Cash for any food/drinks and cable car
  • Loaded smartphone with Swisstopo or SuisseMobile App and downloaded local maps
  • First Aid kit
