Meeting Point: Munich HBF, 6:30 am at the final platform; Train departing 6:41 am - BRB RB54 (79057) 

Arriving in Kufstein at 8 am. I have a 49€ ticket.

Please note: 

  • Route is not beginner-friendly. Please check distance and elevation before joining.
  • We should go with a constant moderate pace (~400 hm/h) and 2-4 minor stops to reach the top in time. 
  • The weather seems to be perfect for Saturday cause it's not as hot as it is this week. Nonetheless please bring enough water (I will go for 3L) and sufficient snacks. Depending on our pace we can stop at Vorderkaiserfeldenhütte on our way back. 
  • Trains back to MUC depart every 60 minutes. 

Things to bring:

  • Hiking shoes
  • Passport/Id
  • Food/drinks for the whole day 
  • Hiking poles, sunglasses, rain jacket, first aid
  • Download.gpx file in advance and ready with import to your tracking app/’s. Example gpx viewer
  • Additonal stuff: Spare socks and a spare shirt
  • Most importantly, a good mood 😊

Good to know

Please unjoin the event well in advance if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Disclaimer: Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarize themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own. 

If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else

Hi guys, I will wear green shorts and a blue midlayer. It's completly okay if you board the train wherever you want, e.g. Munich east. I suggest that we all wait on the destination platform in Kufstein to meet up.
