Description
Not beginner friendly,  Alpine Hiking experience needed

This hike is subject to change if the weather is not good

Hikers,

I'm excited to announce that I'll be going on another hike this Saturday. It would be great to have some awesome hikers join me. However, I kindly request that only those who are genuinely committed and physically capable of keeping up with the group's pace participate.

Flexibility is essential, and a good sense of humor is always appreciated. Please remember to bring necessary equipment you think you'll need.

please note the difiiculty level of the HIKE (UIAA II) & Bring also your Helmet

I want to clarify that I am not a mountain guide, so please assume responsibility for your own presence and safety.

Lastly, I will create a WhatsApp group on Friday to facilitate better communication. It would be wonderful if you could join the group for updates and coordination.

This time, I won't be arranging group tickets, as I assume most people already have the 49 Euro ticket. If you require a group ticket, you can team up with others in the WhatsApp group to organize it.

Looking forward to an amazing hike!

Best regards,
Amir

Ascent: From the valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn we head south and always follow the signpost to the "Hoher-Gang" trail. Along the stream over alpine meadows we soon come into the forest, where the path becomes much steeper.

Passing a scree field, you quickly come to the signpost "Coburger Bank" and shortly afterwards to the first wire rope insurance. Following the trail you reach the Seebensee.

It goes past this, where you can already see the Coburger Hütte. On the left you will find the entrance to the Taja Kante, a difficult via ferrata on the Tajakopf. You can take a short break at the Coburger Hütte and enjoy the view towards the Zugspitze massif and Seebensee or towards the south towards Drachensee.

We turn west towards the Biberwierer Scharte until we come to the signpost for "Sonnenspitze" and turn right towards the gravel field. A helmet should be worn here due to the high risk of falling rocks.

The path that follows is not very marked and the hands are slowly being used to move around. In exposed terrain, it goes, first crossing a gully, then further up through a gully. The path is partly marked with red dots, in difficult places there are deflectors that allow a rope to be secured.

At the end of the gully, a wire rope leads to the left in the direction of the south ridge, along which there are also a number of climbing routes. Our climbing is now much easier and soon we reach the summit. A short exposed spot and a few last meters of climbing separate us from the summit cross.

Descent: The descent on the north side is much easier than the ascent on the south side. However, absolute surefootedness is called for, as scree lies over partly solid rock. We always descend on the north ridge of the Sonnenspitze. Occasionally, deflectors help us with orientation.

Hello everyone, I regret to inform you that I must postpone the upcoming event. The reason for this decision is an ongoing disruption in the rail connection, which would extend our travel time to reach Point A to over 4 hours instead of the usual maximum of 2 hours. I anticipate that this issue will be resolved by September 9th, allowing us to reach Ehrwald in just 1 hour and 45 minutes. However, I have some good news as well. To make up for this delay, I have organized another hike for next Saturday. If you're interested, please take a moment to check the details in the link below. I'm committed to ensuring that everyone who's interested will have a spot: [Link to Event Details](https://www.hiking-buddies.com/routes/events/8183/) Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to our future adventures together. Best regards, [Amir
