Description
Update 21 July: earliest train from Munich can not arrive to Kempten by 7 am and parking near hiking strictly closes at 8 am. Hence, there is change in plan. Pickup at Kempten hbf around 8.30 am, 45 min drive to Tanheim (nearby town), park the car there (either at Parkplat Tenheim or parkplatz P1 which are opposite to each other). From there, we take bus (bus stop 50 m from the parking, frequency every 30 min) to Vilsalpsee. Meeting time, at Parkplatz P1 entrance, is around 9.25 am. Vilsalpsee is 4 km journey by bus.

One of the most beautul hikes in Allgäu region. Its T3 grade hike, not T2 to the highest alpine lake, in Germany, with island. Medium paced.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to come to this place, from Munich, by a public transport. From Munich, you can come to Kempten hbf (Allgäu) and I can pick you up from there. If anyone wants to join from Zurich/ Swiss, you can park your car at my place in Lindau and travel together with me.

Yes, I will be starting from Munich, But I am not living in Munich, Living in Erlangen, will come over on Saturday and catch early morning trains to Kempten Hdf.

Pls note, parking closes at 8 am. https://www.tannheimertal.com/aktiv-im-sommer/wandern-tirol-allgaeuer-alpen/naturschutzgebiet-vilsalpsee/zufahrt/. Hence, pls recheck if you can meet me at Kempten hbf at 7 am without any delay. I will not be able to wait for you incase of any delay.
