Description

T5 hike with approx. 2300m elevation gain

 

Route: Golzern, Talstation Seilbahn – Bristenseehüttli – Bristen and then back on the same way

Grade: T5, which means: often pathless, individual easy climbing sections, exposed, challenging terrain, steep cliffs, bare glaciers and firn slopes which posed some risk of falling.

Starting point and time: Golzern, Talstation Seilbahn at 8:00.  

 

How to get there by public Transportation: From Zürich HB train IR46 departure at 06:05, then bus 401 from Erstfeld to Amsteg and finally Bus 407 to Golzern, Talstation Seilbahn, arrival at 7:57

 

Arrival point: Golzern, Talstation Seilbahn

 

What to take: hiking equipment warm enough for 3000m altitude, proper shoes (hiking boots or trail running shoes), food, enough water, sunscreen, sunglasses, tick spray, rain jacket.

 

Pace: the route is long, the pace must be fast enough to complete the hike before the departure of the last bus which is at 19:02, the plan is to have a pace of 500/600 m elevation gain per hour, please join only if you can keep this pace and you are comfortable doing a T5 hike.
