Description

I called Innsbrucker Hutte Monday and the route should be almost free of snow. Good shoes are recommended. Crampons or Grödel also.

More information can be found here:

https://www.hoehenrausch.de/berge/habicht/

And don't forget your towel to take a bath after the trek.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. This is not a beginners hike. Please note total elevation gain.

2. Equipment required for snow / klettersteig and also knowledge on how to use it.

3. Hiking preferably to be done "quickly" (i.e. 500m/h)

4. It is a 2,25h hours drive to the start (Gschnitz, Brenner).

Going to the mountains, like any other adventure, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening!

Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarize themselves to the point that they are going to hike on their own.

If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happens, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). I am not a mountain guide, so it is not a guided tour. Each one is responsible of him/herself. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting point arrangement and sharing the travel cost, nothing else.

Hi Juanjo, I am considering going there on the weekend. Is there anything particular I should know ? If I am understanding correctly (from the photos) the route is almost snow free, with the exception of the small snow patch, which isn’t directly on the ridge / path itself. Thanks for the photos
