We are going to Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany and the route we are taking is going through "Höllental" or the "Hells valley".. not sure why they named it like that though.
Anyway..
We are meeting at Hbf, Pl. 27-36, on the fence across the info booth 15min before the train leaves. Train leaves at 6:32.
Look for the tall guy in blue pants and black t-shirt.
Once we arrive in Garmisch Hbf, we will take the bus to the bus station Hammersbach from where we start the climb towards Höllentalklamm.
Once we finish the ascent and reach the station, we can make a small break and drink something. Then we go down towards Ehrwald train station via the Gatterl route.
When we come back to Munich entirely depends on the pace of the group and train schedule.
So.. yeah.. don't make any plans in Munich for Sunday.. as we will defo come back to Munich quite late..
..all i'm sayin.
I expect that we will arrive at Ehrwald train station at around 6-7PM..
As far as the instructions are concerned.. the most important one is to get yourself familiar with the route and be honest with your self about your capabilities. If you have done 3 hikes this year with 1000m elevation gain and all 3 were the likes of Jochberg.. then you are probably not ready for this hike.
If you are fit enough to do over 2000 meters of elevation in one day, if you have done a few via-ferratas before..if you are not afraid to walk on steep ice.. then feel free to join.
Expected pace is going to be moderate.. not too fast and not too slow.
