Description

Join an exhilarating hike from Eibsee to Wiener-Neustadter-Hutte, culminating in the epic Zugspitze ascent via the challenging Stopselzieher Via Ferrata. Starting at the picturesque Eibsee, the trail gradually ascends through alpine meadows with vibrant wildflowers, surrounded by diverse flora and fauna.

As we continue, rocky sections become more prominent, requiring some effort. We'll reach the Wiener-Neustadter-Hutte, our rest stop, for a break before the thrilling Stopselzieher Via Ferrata. With helmets and Via Ferrata sets, we'll climb the rock face, secured by iron rungs and steel cables. The challenge intensifies as we progress, rewarded with stunning vistas.

Upon completing the Via Ferrata, our adventure continues to the Zugspitze summit, Germany's highest point. The ascent becomes steeper, and we navigate rocky terrain and scree sections. The panoramic views become even more awe-inspiring as we gain altitude.

Finally, reaching the Zugspitze summit, we'll be rewarded with a 360-degree view of the majestic Alps. Cherish the memories of this extraordinary hike, where nature's beauty and triumphs await at every step.

We will descend via cable car back to Eibsee. The target is to reach back Munich by latest 7 pm.

Comments
Great hike - good organisation - fun team! Thanks a lot for having organized this event, Rakib! A few notes for all those who are looking forward to copy this event: - carefully check time tables of public transport (trains, busses) and cable cars - they change from time to time - mind that the last train/bus services per day are quite crowded - maybe try to get the second last option - understand that this is a challenging hike requiring a very good condition (be within the normal BMI range), solid technical skills to hike in rocky terrain, and the ability to cope with thinner air (~30% less O2 at ~3.000m compared to sea level) - you will not succeed (and have fun) if you are not sporty and experienced
