Hello Hiking Buddies,
It’s so good to be back in the best community in Munich
I am back, but won't be able to be very frequent though.
The hike is planned to experience the perseid meteor shower and to utilize the extended weekend. You must take Monday (14.08.2023) off.
The first information regarding the plan is as follows. more details might be available as the date comes closer.
The hike is mainly T3, with patches of optional T4. (Please read about the SAC scale, if you are already not familiar with it).
So, I have booked two huts on 13 the 14th of August at Allgauers Alps.
on 13th August four beds at Kaufbeurer Haus and on 14th at Barthutte.
The plan is to hike in the best mountains of Bavaria/Austrian borders, that’s, Allgau.
It’s kind of an extended trail of Heilbronner Weg.
The plan is to take a train from Munich on Sunday (13th August) Morning and get down to
Reutte and then from there we take a bus (110) to get down at either Vorderhornbach Gh Kreuz or Elmen Hinterweidig from where we start the hike..
We reach Kaufbeurer Haus that afternoon/evening and stay the night there.
The next day we start hiking early and reach Barthutte. From where we start getting down either via Rappensee or via Kemptnerhutte.
It could be possible to make it harder with extra peaks which are completely optional.
Thike ends at Oberstdorf, from where direct train is generally available to Munich.
The best attraction would be the Perseid Meteor Shower (in Germany/ in the UK) if the weather permits, experiencing amazing sunset and sunrise.
The bonus could be (near) professional photo shooting :P
More bonus (by Rena), morning Yoga session, and afternoon Salsa tips :P .
The hike is definitely not for beginners, but I am also not very fit . If I don’t know you please send me a message before joining.
Achtung!
Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tour, is always risky; sometimes, it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description in toto, look into the route details, and make it familiarise themselves to the point that they are going to hike on their own. If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happens, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost of 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost if any.
