Let's visit the longest the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the Alps (3rd worldwide).

Even getting there is spectacular: Between Visp and Herbriggen (Mattertal), part of the Glacier Express route.

How to get there:

Journey by public transport: ZH HB - Bern - Visp - Herbriggen

The train (IC 1) departs at 06:22 from HB. Meeting point: At the platform, 06:17, first 2nd class car acc. to direction of travel.

Note: I will join in Bern.

Journey by car: Use gps. Note: This is not a roundtrip, endpoint is one train station away from start.

Meeting point:

9:25 AM - Herbriggen train station

Hike:

The hike will last ca. 7-8 hours, with a lot of viewpoints.
The pace will be medium/fast with enough time to admire the landscape. Short lunch break at the top.

Equipment:
