let´s go hiking together on Thursday since will be holiday here in Bavaria. It looks mostly dry, very low chances of rain in the evening considering that then Friday till Sunday could be really bad weather. Let´s go to Wilder Kaiser and go up along the way that became so famous for being the training place for many famous climbers. We start from Griesenau, we reach Griesner alm, we keep going up having on our left side the most legendary peaks of Wilder Kaiser. A constant companion on the hike are the Ellmauer Tor and the Steinerne Rinne. The imposant towers of rocky mountains like Totenkirchl, Predigtstuhl, Totenkirchl, Fleischbank and Lärcheck rise from south to east like a symphony turned to stone. dominating over the all Kaiserbachtal valley. We hike along many serpentines till we reach the best balcony over Wilder Kaiser, Stripsenjochhaus.
The way up there is still a hiking trail, but it is sometimes very narrow and rope insurance, partly also slightly exposed. On some steep and rocky places you have to use your hands. But it's worth it. The path is beautiful and interesting, the view continues to increase. Soon we look down on the houses of Stripsenjochhaus. The reward comes quickly. The summit of the Stripsenkopf has a magnificent view, far into Bavaria till some of the peaks of the Zahmer Kaiser, but also the Wendelstein, the Brünnstein, the Risserkogel and the Zugspitze. Kampenwand and Chiemsee can be seen as well as Hochplatte, Hochgern or Geigelstein. The Pendling near Kufstein, a part of Kufstein itself, the Rofan mountains and of course the mountains of the Wilder Kaiser. We go down from here till we reach one of nicest huts in the area where we can have a break: Anton Karg Haus. We then go further down with the most relaxing part crossing one of the most beautiful Tirolean valleys, the Kaiserbachtal till we reach Kufstein.
Most of the path should be snow free but now and then we could have some patches of old snow melting just for your info in the last section to Stripsenjochhaus.
