The Hike


We leave from Zurich Triemli and follow the unmarked Friesenburgweg towards the ruins of Friesenberg Castle, from where we can enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Zurich.
Then we continue towards Rossweidliegg and follow the white-marked ridge path uphill to the right: the stretch is tricky (T3) sometimes quite steeply, over roots and steps. (Alternatives available to avoid this passage).
We reach the private hut of the Clarida Alpine Club, from where we have a beautiful view of Lake Zurich again…
Then we reach Uetliberg and admire the view.
On the way back we need to take the Planentenweg to Uto Staffeland we then take a left and go down thru Linderweg (LW marking)

As it's raining from 2 days, we will decide at the start to either continue with this route or take an alternative one.

Transportation

You can come by train from Zurich HB to Zurich Triemli either by S10 or Tram 14.

Safety notices



YOU MUST HAVE proper hiking boots with a good grip, headlamp, warm clothes, rain protection / sun screen, at least 1,5L of water, and food for snacks along the way.
