Update: Due to the risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon we skip the cycling part. The plan has been updated below.

Plan
We start from Hbf early morning. We take the Meridian M79003 at 05:48 and reach Traunstein at 7:15 Berchtesgaden at 08:27. From there we cycle can either take a bus or walk to Königsee about 4hours/55km following this route. This is the start point for the Klettersteig. Please see the route link for details on the topo.

Depending on the time we can cycle back to Berchtesgaden or to Freilassing and take the train back from there. We take the same way back.

Difficulty
The cycling is fairly easy as long as you can cycle about 90-100km without issue. The klettersteig has a technical difficulty of C or D/E depending on the variant and is not for beginners.

Good to know

Equipment/Requirements

* Bicycle (any kind should work as long as it works for you). Please buy your own bicycle ticket in advance so we save time on organisation. You need a Bayern Fahrrad-Tageskarte.
* Regular hiking equipment (Boots, waterproof layer)
* Complete Klettersteig equipment (Helmet, Klettersteigset, Harness, Gloves, extra lanyard and HMS carabiner etc.)
* Food/Water for the trip
