Description

What:

A fairly serious hike. I like hike from A to B, and wanted to collect a couple of peaks, so I found this route here on Hike Buddies.  I've never done it before.  Make sure you are up for the challenge. Nearly 20 km long and over 1300m elevation gain.  We'll have plenty of sunlight, but not endless.

Where:

Leaving from:

    München Hbf, Gleich 33, BRB RB55 to Bayrischzell, 07:30. Gettting off at Fischhausen-Neuhaus, at 08:38.

Returning from;

    Tegernsee, Gleich 2, BRB RB57 to München Hbf.  The trains run every 30 minutes.  I expect we will finish the hike around 18:00, so expect to be back in München around 20:00.

Who:

All are welcome. I like to keep a healthy pace of between 300 m/hr and 400 m/hr, so make sure you feel that this hike is for you.

Good to know:

  • Bring as much water as you can.  I carry a minimum of 3L, but the more the better.
  • Bring a lunch and snacks.
  • Bring rain gear, sun protection, and extra layers.
  • Bring a headlamp.
