Description

2 Days in Berchtesgaden: Hirschwieskopf & Königssee 🌞.

Let's go on a hopefully sunny hike to Hirschwieskopf in Berchtesgaden. It's a long hike so you should be quite fit. We will hike as a group - so we should have a similar speed. (medium speed. Please check the details! ~27km/ 1500hm).

🌞We will extend the stay in Berchtesgaden and do another hike or some other activities around Königssee on the day before. (swimming, relaxing, taking a ship).

We can either think about sleeping in tents on a camping ground or searching a Hostel/Hotel/Ferienhaus. (the cheapest is currently at least 40 € per person).

That's why I would suggest the CAMPING GROUND + TENT.

If you don't have a tent you can rent one in Munich (just google it) or you can book a room around Königssee. Another option would be to ask people here, if you can join their tent. We will discuss it via the WhatsApp group.

The hut on the way to Hirschwieskopf is unfortunately booked out - so it's no option. (although I could put us on the waitinglist. We can discuss it via whatsapp. I'll send you the group link on Monday). We can stop on our way back at Wimbachgrieshütte for some drinks/food if we have some time left.

We will start our hike at the parking lot "Wimbachbrücke". From there we will walk along the valley "Wimbachtal" for some hours. There is the gorge "Wimbachklamm" which we can visit on our way back. (It opens at 7 am - but we are starting earlier with our hike, so we will take the other way into the valley). About 1 hour after the start of the hike we will pass by "Wimbachschloss" with a nice view over the amazing landscape of Wimbachtal. Another two hours and we will arrive at the already mentioned Wimbachgrieshütte. From there it'll be roughly 3 hours to the top of Hirschwieskopf.

It's not a difficult hike, but it's a long hike. So if you can't imagine to walk 25 km in flat areas, you won't make the distance with about 1500 Höhenmeter. So please don't overestimate yourself.

You need to have proper hiking gear, enough water/ food, cash (maybe some coins for the Wimbachklamm).
Everyone is going at his/her own risk! Please download the map!

SCHEDULE:

Day 1: to be planned eg. relaxing at Königssee, taking a ship, having dinner etc.

Day 2: Hirschwieskopf. Early start around 6 am (!!) to see the sunrise during our first kilometers & enjoy some silent hours. 🙂

So please just join if you really want to come.

If you have a "no show" in the last months without any understandable reason I will remove you.

I will remove you as well if you are on the waiting list of another event.

We will go by car.

For my car:

Fuel and parking fees will be split.  (it's 2 days, so I won't be able to calculate every detail). The 20 € is just a rough calculation based on 4 people in the car and including parking fees. If the costs are lower, I will transfer you the money back and in vice versa!

For people in my car prepayment for fuel/parking fees is obligatory. If you haven't withdrawn the money 2 days before, I will remove you. (I will not ask twice!).

Just for those who are currently joining the hike (not for those on the waiting list): Please join the WhatsApp group:
