Yes, it's a scenic tour BUT, it's not for beginners!! Type: Demanding mountain hike!
From Ehrwald the Gatterlroute leads to the Knorrhütte and from there together with the Reintalroute to the Zugspitzplatt and the summit. From the valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn (1108 m) flat uphill through the ski area to the Ehrwalder Alm (1502 m), Pestkapelle (1617 m) and Hochfeldernalm (1732 m). Continue on the Max-Klotz-Steig to the Joch "Am Brand* (2120 m) and slightly descending to the Feldernjöchl (2041 m). Now steeply ascending on a secured path to the "Gatterl* (2024 m). Via the flat "Plattsteig" to the Knorrhütte. From there across the Zugspitzplatt to the Sonnalpin (2576 m) and from there on an insured path to the Zugspitz summit.
