Description

This is a beautiful tightrope hike from the summit of the Hönig over an easy ridge to the Sonnbergsattel. It offers a  wonderful view of the Lechtal Alps.

We will take the train (RB 6 59445) from Munich Hauptbahnhof at 06:32 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen then at 08:05 take the bus Bus EV nach Pfronten-Steinach to Bichlbach-Berwang.

The train back to Munich is at 16:05, 17:05, 18:05. I would prefer to catch the train back at 17:05 at the latest, hence to keep the average pace (400m/h).

Things to bring:

Please bring your own ticket for this hike, Deutschlandticket can be used for this trip
Waterproof hiking boots
Adequate clothing
Water (1 or 2 litres) and food
A good portion of humor

Hi. I missed my first train to Munich HBF. Mostly won't make it there on time with my current train.

I'm estimated to reach hbf at 6:24. So I'll most likely have to meet you on the train, sorry! If someone sees this, can they let me know the platform number and which carriage you are in? Thanks! I have a green t-shirt, black shorts.

Hi, I am already at Hbf, waiting next to the gate. The train isl leaving from Gl. 31. I am wearing black shorts and white/black/pink top :)
