Hey Guys,
Let us do one of the most beautiful ridge hike combined with Via-Ferata of Mittenwalder. I will be taking some drone shots of the group walking the ridge and doing the KS.
The hike starts at Scharnitz and ends at Mittenwald. Please check the route details for more information.
Meeting Point: In front of Platform # 31, Munich Hbf
Meeting Time: 06:20 am, Saturday 16.09.2023
Total Distance: 14 km
Total Elevation gain: 1600 m
Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T5 (mostly T3/T4 though). Interested people can do the Mittenwalder KS and others can skip. I would prefer doing the KS.
Things to bring:
1. Hiking boots.
2. Hiking Poles.
3. Klettersteig Set (Harness, Carabena and Helmet)
4. Enough water and food for yourself.
5. Headlamp (may not be necessary).
6. Most importantly a smiling face and a happy vibe.
The hike starts from Scharnitz and climb to Brunnsteinspitze from south side of the mountain. Then we can continue till Tiroler Hut. from there we can take the Klettersteig (B) way (Mittenwelder Klettersteig) to Kirchlspitz and then Karwendelspitze.
Our hike ends in Mittenwald, on the way back if people prefer we can take cable car.
There is a considerable amount of Scrambling and no fear of height is important.
I prefer walking along with the group and in not leaving people behind, In case you prefer a trail run and wanna go before the group you can hapily do that.
Note: Please don’t join the hike if you want to come back early . Please unjoin the event well in advance if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
Depending on the weather it could be postponed to following Sunday.
