Description

Repeating the event of Amit V with the alpine coaster

Conditions to join: 400hm pace, no noshows, unjoins at any time are not appreciated, join only if you are sure. Please don't join if you have to come back to Munich early or have some plans in the evening. Relatively empty profiles need to contact me per PM prior to joining

Public transport: We take RB 5411 departing at 10:32 am from Munich HBF at platform number 27, change at Murnau RB 59559 to Unterammergau. That's our starting point, we will finish our hike at Oberammergau.

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3, although most of the part is T2. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T3. The hike is not suitable for beginners. We will stay together in the group. 

Huts: We will have food/drinks at Kolbensattelhütte. It might be late when we arrive at the hut, so please bring enough food/drinks for the whole day.

Alpine Coaster: We will take the alpine coaster for the last part to Oberammergau. The cost of alpine coaster is 11 EUR per person. More information is available here.


Good to know

We go with Deutschland ticket, please be on time as we will enter the train soon after 10:15


Kindly remember to pack the following essentials:

  • food and drinks for the entire day
  • cash for the dinner and the alpine coaster
  • rain/sun protection according to the latest weather forecast (most probably sunny)
  • Alpenverein / mountain insurance recommended
  • first aid kit for emergencies  recommended
  • headlamp for emergencies recommended
