Due to forecasts of rain, hike will be tentatively postphoned to Sunday. 

Route is taken from Komoot: 

Brücke in der Höllentalklamm – Klammweg Runde von Hammersbach | Wanderung | Komoot

Let's meet at HBF at 7:15. RB6 leaves from Gleis 32 at 7:32 and arrives at Garmisch-Partenkirchenat around 8:56. From there we can take either Bus 9840 or Bus 2 at 9:14 and arrive at Hammersbach at around 9:42. 

The aim is to complete the route in 6:30 hours as stated on Komoot so that we have a bit of leeway when we return to Munich. The bus leaves at 17:21 from Hammersbach every hour and we should make the 18:05 train back to Munich. Of course if we are a bit quicker and we make the 16:21 bus and return an hour early.

The route is "difficult" so a basic level of fitness is expected.



Good to know

Kindly remember to pack the following essentials:

  • food and drinks for the entire day
  • sundry cash
  • rain/sun protection according to the latest weather forecast (most probably sunny)
  • Alpenverein / mountain insurance recommended
  • first aid kit for emergencies  recommended

Hi Darius, I when catching the trains to Garmisch, is it ok if I meet you all on the trains at Pasing instead of Munich Hbf?

Hi guys, inspite of what I hoped for it appears that the weather on Saturday is going to be horrible. I have tentatively postphoned the hike to Sunday, as its not expected to rain.
