Hey Everyone,

anybody here who still didn’t hike to the famous Oeschinensee?

Sunday 22.10 is supposed to be nice and sunny, so let’s check it out :)

The idea is to hike up from the Kandersteg train station up to Oberbärgli and in the middle of the way back we take the gondola down.

Moderate pace with stops for photos, snacks and picnic. Hiking shoes needed, take water and snacks. Theoretically there is a hut/restaurant on the top at Oberbärgli but I don’t know whether it’s open, so better to take your own picnic.

I’ll be going by train from Zurich:

7:32 Zurich HB-9:39 Kandersteg, with change in Bern. 

Starting hike from Kandersteg train station at 9:45. Last gondola leave around 17:00, so we need to be there before that time.

One way ticket for Gondola is 11chf with SBB halb tax or GA.

I’m not a guide, everybody goes at own’s risk. 

Note that this is the first time I’m posting an event, so any tips or help in organising are welcome ☺️
