Dear hiking buddies.

the area is called UNESCO world heritage Entlebuch.

There is a swamp hike at the beginning (5Km) and then we walk up to the ridge at the mountain Hengst.

The hike will be in the forest for a big part, hoping for some colourful trees and stunning nature.

Time Frame:

10:00 meet and start

around 14:00-15:00 picnic somewhere on the mountain

around 20:00 back at Sörenberg (hopefully 19:59 since the bus departs at that time ^^)

Meeting point:

Sörenberg, Restaurant Ochsenweid (it is closed, we can use the parking spots)

Travels from Zurich HB:

08:10 departure Zurich HB (platform 8, direction Luzern IR 70)

08:51 arrival Luzern

08:57 departure Luzern (platform 5, direction Bern RE)

09:28 arrival Schüpfheim station

09:33 departure Schüpfheim station (BUS B241 direction Sörenberg Post)

09:55 arrival Sörenberg Camping

Hike:

We start at Sörenberg and hike to the so called park Mooraculum ( https://www.soerenberg.ch/de/sommer/entdecken-erleben/erlebnispark-mooraculum/ )

There we do the small swamp hike.

After is we move into the direction of the next mountain and do the ridge hike there.

Picnic:

Somewhere on the mountain, i think around 14:00-15:00.

Equipment:

No specific equipment needed, apart from hiking boots, warm clothes and a headlamp.

I dont expect snow.

Application:

As always there is the possibility to come by car.

Join the car pool and either create a car yourself or have a look who can take you there.

For those who come by public transport please create a "car" in the carpool with around 30 seats and use "public transport" as a description. That way others can join that one and we keep a good overview.

If that one is full, create another one with 30 seats please.

No maximum number of participants.
