A hike in snowy Chiemgau, which is supposed to have the best weather in the Bayerische Alps on Sunday.

Note: 8:00 is the beginning of the hike, not the meeting time for the carpool!

The Hochgernhaus is supposed to be open.

Technical Difficulty: This hike is suitable for fit advanced beginners. You have to be surefooted and have experience with hiking in snow. You should not be slow (>=400m gain/hour), and a pace of at least 5km/h in the flat parts.

Transport: We will go by car as the starting point is not easily accessible by public transport. We'll share the car expenses (no vignette required). The driver(s) may require passengers to pay in advance. Please read the car instructions carefully. If the hike or lift is cancelled or postponed, the drivers must reimburse the prepaid payments. Otherwise a passenger dropping out before departure must only be reimbursed if the driver can find a replacement.

Joining: Click on carpool. If a car has free seats, read the instructions and possibly join the car. Otherwise add yourself to the waiting list and regularly check for free seats. You are not automatically assigned to a car.
