Description

Let's go on an easy hike to Jochberg with views of Kochelsee and Walchensee.


I plan to go at a relaxed pace as this not a super long hike and we should be back and done before we loose daylight.


We meet on Pl. 28 at 7:45 ( the train is at 8:00 ), we take RB66 till Penzberg and then a bus till Kochel, we can either walk to the start i.e. Kesselberg or take a Bus, we start the hike at 10:30 from Kesselberg and aim to be back by 16:00 at Kochel. 

There are connections back to Munich till late night.

Good to know
Things to bring:
  1. Enough water for the hike, I recommend > 2L ( recommended )
  2. Spikes for the snow ( required )
  3. Gloves ( recommended )
  4. Headlamp ( recommended )
  5. Ankle high hiking shoes ( recommended )
  6. 49 Euro ticket ( or you need to buy your own ticket )
  7. Food for the hike ( I don't think the Hut would be open)
  8. A little bit of excitement with a smiling face


Important 

I am not a guide, you are responsible for yourself, make sure you come fully prepared both mentally and physically for the hike.


I recommend downloading a copy of the route for easy navigation, in case you need it.

Hi, The weather forecast is that there will light snowfall in the morning and then it should be okay, so carry a hooded jacket and optionally a raincoat, in case you might need it. Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it. Also, a side note. Please confirm the status of your participation atleast 12 hours before the hike, to give people on the waiting list enough notice. Thanks and see you on Saturday ⛰️

Where do you confirm your participation ? And why are the participants limited to 5 ? You can maybe expand it to 10 if you wish :)
