Hike Details


We start from Parkplatz Sihlbruggstrasse.
We do a 11km loop from Sihlbrugg to Sihlspring and back.
We go up along the way to reach a highest point of 600m.
We loop back at Sihlspring and come back

General information

I will take pictures during the hike and will publish them in the group on Facebook. If you don’t want to appear, please let me know at the start of the hike.


Transportation


Laurence and I will be going by car we can pick-up 4 people, either in Berikon-Widen at 8:35am, or in Birmensdorf, ZH - meeting time: 8:45am.

Otherwise I have indicated how to come by train + bus from Zurich HB.

Pace
This is a slow pace hike. (Slow Pace means 300/350m vertical ascent per hour ; 1km length in 30min)
You can come with your dog(s).


Food
Warm drinks in isotherm bottle might be a good idea as it will be close to zero with possible snow showers.
Snacks for the road - no lunch as we will be finished by 12noon.



Gear
Please come with proper hiking gear:
- Hiking boots with a good grip
- Hiking poles if you have knee problems
- Headlamp (your mobile phone is not a lamp)
- Multiple layers of clothes (inc. warm clothes)
- Rain, snow and/or sun protection (inc. sunglasses and hat)

Weather


Forecast for now is some snow…
Temperatures around 0 degree.
 So make sure you take extra layers, as well as gloves and hat.
The path might be muddy at times, you might want to have poles.



Registration
Aiming to 20 including Laurence and I - but if necessary we will increase the number to include the waiting list (hard stop at 30).
