Description

MOST IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: Please pray to what ever god you believe in that the DB trains work. Had to cancel my last hike last weekend because there were no trains leaving Munich.

It will be snowing and very cold, so it is mandatory to bring spikes, gaiters, poles and warm winter clothes.

The Laber haus might be open so we can have a short  break there to get some warm drinks and food. However please pack your own food for the whole day just in case.

We will take the following train which departs HBF at 07:32 and Pasing at 07:38

Return trains are at 14:15, 15:15 from Oberau... we could optionally take the bus back from Ettal to Oberau but that can be decided spontaneously.

Good to know

Things to bring:

  • Train ticket (49 Euro) & ID card
  • Hiking shoes
  • Food/drinks for the whole hike
  • Raincoat & hiking clothes (winter season)
  • Spikes and Gaiters
  • Download.gpx file in advance and ready with import to your tracking app/’s. Example gpx viewer
  • First Aid Kit
  • spare socks and dress incase of rain 
  • Gloves
  • Most importantly, a good mood 😊 (as my friend Kipras would say)

Disclaimer: Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarize themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own. 

If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else

Hi I am getting in at haupt bahnhof. Since I am coming from Ingolstadt I reached early. Black jacket, green bag. Let me know once you guys reach or some meeting point.
