Description

It looks like next weekend will be splendid weather! Time for a sunny snowshoe hike! Pack your sunscreen and your best mood! =D

I'm aiming to finish the hike around sunset to make some splendid golden hour pictures! =)

Meeting point and time: Bus station Ibergeregg, Passhöhe 11:00 (Not the same startpoint as on the official route!)

  • By public transport:  Bus station at start point: Ibergeregg, Passhöhe (The last bus leaves at 16:20. Let's try to get enough cars so that we're not limited by the bus time.)

What to take: snowshoes, snowgaters, warm enough clothes (layers), food, drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses.

 

Pace: Moderate pace. If we don't have enough cars, we aim to be back at 16:00 so that we can catch the last bus at 16:20, which gives us 5 hours. If we have enough cars, we can chill and enjoy the sunset at ~17:00, which means we have over 6 hours. The hike should take ~4:45 according Switzerland mobility.


Grade: Snowshoeing, physically demanding, not dangerous.

The last bus from Ibergeregg leaves at 16:21 on Saturday. It would be splendid if we have enough cars so that everyone can be taken to a train station (for example Schwyz) or home by car. So if you have a car, please list yourself coming by car in the carpool instead of with public transport. That way we can enjoy the sunset together at the end of the hike! :)
