A roundtrip through the beautiful Ochsensitz, Ziegelspitz, Notkarspitze, Hanseljöchel, and Gießenbach! Please familiarize yourself with the route http://www.komoot.de/tour/1393287884?ref=wtd&share_token=aS3fiePiCWPx4Kj4mYUZUB1dUQx8dFRRG3N8xmnoM8C5Klhs1F , the weather a few days before the hike (e.g., http://www.meteoblue.com/de/wetter/historyclimate/weatherarchive/notkarspitze_deutschland_6939931), and the weather forecast (e.g., http://www.meteoblue.com/de/wetter/woche/notkarspitze_deutschland_6939931)
before joining. Folks who wish to have a more gradual descent may
consider ascending only up to Ochsensitz, then very gradually descending
to Roßalm-Diensthütte, and finally joining the rest of the group on the
original path from there back to the parking lot.
Necessary:
• ankle-covering hiking boots,
• plenty of water (the exact amount depends on your weight; I recommend ⩾ 3 L),
• warm clothes, and
• head lamp.
Advisable:
• gaiters (weather-dependent, in case of snow on the ground),
• crampons (weather-dependent, in case of ice on the ground),
• hiking poles,
• snow shoes (weather-dependent, in case of lots of snow on the ground),
• rain protection (weather-dependent, in case of rain), and
• snacks.
Optional:
• your own lunch,
• sunscreen, and
• eyeglasses.
In case of heavy rain, heavy snow, violent wind, or thunderstorm, the hike might be canceled, modified, or moved for safety reasons. For the hike to take place in any form, ⩾ 3 participants must show up.
I can pick up co-hikers along the route http://www.google.com/maps/dir/Fürstenrieder+Str.+249,+81377+München/Gießenbacher+Weg,+82488+Ettal .
The tour is unguided; I'm not a guide. Every hiker acknowledges that he/she has fully read and understood the route description and would be able to hike according to it alone. He/she is fully responsible for himself/herself and hikes at his/her own risk.
