Let´s go to Allgäu again and try to conquer two small peaks offering interesting panoramic views and finally end with frozen art spectacle of Hinanger waterfalls. From Sonthofen we head south east towards the small village of Imberg first with lovely views of Grünten mountain and then passing through the Zwölferkopf till reaching that wonderful vantage point that is Imberger Horn. Soon the view becomes clear over the Oberjoch into the Tannheimer Valley. The views down to Bad Hindelang and out into the Ostrachtal to Sonthofen are also a real treat. When you arrive at the ridge, the panoramic view down to Bad Hindelang, Bad Oberndorf and the Tannheimer Valley is a special natural experience. On the summit of the Imberger Horn (1,655 meters above sea level), the view sweeps ahead over the Retterschwangertal towards Nebelhorn. The view goes from the Imberger Horn summit over the Hintersteiner Valley to Iseler, Bschützer, Ponten, Gaishorn, Rauhhorn, Kugelhorn and Nebelhorn. We then descent on the ridge towards Strausberg and Strausbergsattel. And again and again the Rotspitze tempts the hiker to pause and admire it. We turn west then and we head towards the valley, visiting one of the most beautifull waterfalls in Allgäu: Hinanger waterfalls. in winter a fairytale landscape is created. he Hinanger waterfall is located above the village of Hinang near Sonthofen-Altstädten in the Illertal. A wildly romantic path leads over hill and dale, steps, wooden walkways and small bridges.
