Description

Hi everyone, I would like to initiate a hike to Pleisenhütte from Scharnitz, an Austrian town near by the border of Germany. I have been to this hike in winter 2 years ago and found it quite manageable even with some snow. The difficulty is around T2. This is mine first time organizing event here, so feel free to ask question if there is any. I do regular hike (around 20 times/year) around Munich area, and my speed is moderate, around 350m uphill / hour. We will hike as a group and will arrive as a group. The Pleisenhütte is open so we will eat there, if you prefer to bring your food, feel free. 

We will leave from Sparkasse out of Laimer Platz U-Bahn station (Fürstenrieder Str. 70, 80686 München) at 08:00 on 03.02. if there is no traffic we should be there around 09:30, and we will reach Pleisenhütte before noon. Approximately we will be down before 15:00, and reach Munich before 17:00 if there is no traffic. 

I will be driving my car (white golf 7) , and the event will still happen even when there is 1 attendees joining. I don't have specific rules for my car but it will be nice if you can keep the car tidy.

Necessary items with you:

  • Plenty of water
  • Warm clothes
  • Hiking boots
  • Crampons (if you are not familiar to hike on the snow)
  • Sunglasses
  • Good mood :)

Optional : 

  • your own lunch if you don't want to eat at the Pleisenhütte
