Conditions to join:

Solid 400hm pace, experience in winter hikes with snow incl use of spikes, no noshows, no obligations in Munich in the evening, politeness and group spirit, please join only if you are sure


We will have the opportunity to enjoy a hut or a restaurant in pittoresque Mittenwald.

We go with Deutschland ticket. RE61. Be on time 09:00 at the meeting point as we will leave soon after.

Kindly remember to pack the following essentials:

  • food and drinks for the entire day
  • cash for the hut / restaurant in Mittenwald
  • rain/sun protection according to the latest weather forecast 
  • headlamp belongs to the Rucksack in every winter hike
  • spikes (Groedel) belong to the Rucksack independently of any analysis of snow presence or condition 
  • gaiters
  • Alpenverein / mountain insurance recommended
  • first aid kit for emergencies  recommended

Dear All, i see the waiting list full. Your presence there, if you later unjoin, prevents other buddies who are interested, to join the hike. Kindly be mindful about that. Some of you will hike also on Saturday. Usually many then decide its enough and cancel last minute the Sunday. Dont be one of those. If you are not sure, do not occupy space in either list. With that said, i hope you all stay in the list and see you on Sunday
