Hi fellows,
I'm going on a three-day hike from Mittenwald to Innsbruck in the Karwendel mountains, staying overnight in two mountain huts. Here's the plan:
Requirements
· good sense of humor, flexibility, and be a team player.
· Have sufficient Alpine experience, hiking level mostly T3/T4. Small section of T5 optional.
· Priority is given to hikers whose skills I am personally familiar with. If we haven't hiked together before, you may join one of my future hikes for mutual acquaintance.
· A non-refundable deposit of 30 euros is required for reservation purposes. In the event of unforeseen circumstances preventing your participation, a refund will be granted only if a suitable buddy is found. Otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable and contributes to covering hut reservations.
Please note:
in any case you have to write me, being in list or waiting list doesn’t mean the priorities goes with you.
Huts reservation costs are not refundable.
First day: We'll take a train from Munich to Mittenwald and then hike to Karwendelhaus, covering 18km and going up 1200m. We'll sleep at Karwendelhaus.

Second day: We'll hike from Karwendelhaus to Hallerangerhaus, walking 19km and climbing 1500m. We'll spend the night at Hallerangerhaus.

Third day: From Hallerangerhaus, we'll hike down to Innsbruck. This leg involves climbing 1500m and descending 1000m over 14km. We'll catch a train back to Munich in the evening. please note that oyu can use gondala to come down or hike with me, I will keep that open to you.
For the hut bookings:
- July 5th, 2024: Karwendelhaus(reserved). I booked a bed without meals, but you can order food when we arrive. It's €14 for members of the Alpine Association (AV) and €30 for non-members. Half-board (dinner and breakfast) costs €48 if you want it.
- July 6th, 2024: Hallerangerhaus(reserved), similar to karwendel haus as follows

5. **Insurance**: You confirm that you have sufficient insurance coverage, such as membership with the German Alpine Club (DAV), Mountain Rescue Service (Bergrettung), or a similar organization. This insurance should cover any potential accidents or emergencies that may occur during the hike.
By participating in this hike, you agree to release the organizer from any liability for injuries, accidents, or other incidents that may occur. You participate at your own risk and responsibility.
If you decide to leave the group (go in front by yourself, or stopping for no reason), then we won’t search for you and you officially left the group, it is also the same if you don't bring required gears.
About Karwendel area
Karwendel National Park, located in Tyrol, Austria, is one of the largest protected areas in the Eastern Alps.
