Schedule:

09:25   Arrival at Talstation, sorting out the tickets and gear
We meet in the main hall!

11:00 Arrival at the small trail (Melchsee 2km): warm-up, whatever drills we want to take.

12:00 Lunch break - there is a restaurant that is normally full, but it is possible to order a warm drink or food. I suggest we have our own food, as it will be super crowded.

13:00 Depending on how we feel, we can stay on the small one or we hit the big trail (Melchsee-Frutt - Tannalp 13 km)

around 15:30 Getting ourselves together and heading back, depends on our mood and energy level.
Buses back to Sarnen from Melchtal Stöckalp (Talstation) Every full hour and :40. Last one 17:40

I am not a professional guide or skiing instructor, cross-country skiing can be risky. Everybody is responsible for him/herself and must familiarize themselves with the trail and its requirements. Please be punctual.

Good to know

What to bring:
- good mood,
- water  (there is a place to refill but the water doesn't taste too good),keep in mind that if you are heading for    13km you only have the water you are carrying with you,
- sunscreen & sunglasses!!
- preferably some own food,
 -skis, poles - possible to rent,
- layered clothing, as with every winter sport it gets hot very fast, and this time will be colder than previously.

!! To my knowledge there is no locker close to the Loipe, so please be preperead to carry your valuables with you.

!! Please check on this site or whatsapp - (in case there are issues with trail and or weather)

Arrival:

it is a Carpool Event,
it is possible to reach the place by public transport or by car, if you come by car please keep in mind that it is a huge ski resort and finding a parking slot may be an issue (meaning you may have to park a bit further).
We aim at:  Melchtal Stöckalp (Talstation), as it's a big ski-resort there are parking places (which get full after 10:00)


I don't see the "Join button" - how do I join? Click on the Carpool button, and then Join a car, or Add a car. (Fill in SBB and your starting point if coming by public transport.)

Because of no sign-ins I don't create the whatsapp group, if anybody is still interested we meet at 09:25 :-)
