Lets go for a beautiful winter hike together! 😁
What do you need to take part to this hike.
1) enough fitness
2) Deutschland Ticket (otherwise you can still join but you have to buy your own ticket)
3) please bring cash (2,70 Eur) to buy bus ticket from Kufstein Bahnhof till Hike starting point
3) Team spirit. So put always an eye to the group and no gaps in the group please especially in winter never a good idea
4) Motivation to join the event. At latest you can unjoin event 12 hours before. Thanks for understanding.
5) please be punctual. Train leaves at 8,50

A tour that goes through some beautiful and various views from Wilder Kaiser till Kufstein. From the bus stop we go southwest along the forest path to the first bend and then follow the path towards "Hintersteiner See via Steinerne Stiege". After a short stretch of forest, we will come across the large waterfall pipe of the Schwoich power plant, which is fed by Lake Hinterstein. The steep climb over the Steinerne Stiege begins right behind it . Only a small part of the steps are actually still carved into the rock face. The rest leads up in a variety of ways over many wooden and root steps and iron stairs . After about 30 minutes (1.5km/200 meters in altitude), the climb is complete and you land on a gentle meadow path. You will soon reach the idyllic Hagenhof mountain farm (905m).
We take the north path to Hintersee, the sunny one, and we hike across the flowering meadow field to the Maier snack station (923m) . There is now a wonderful view of the emerald-blue shimmering Hintersteiner Lake, embedded in the mountain backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser. We follow the asphalt road down to the Goingstätt snack bar (890m) and walk along the lake to the Seestüberl..
Starting from Hintersteiner Lake near Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser, this circular hike leads past several managed alpine pastures. Forest paths, but also rooty paths through the nature reserve of the Kaiser Mountains make the tour particularly varied.
This tour offers special mystical impressions. Up in the rocks of the Wilder Kaiser we enjoy views of the Scheffauer all the way across to the Treffauer and views go till Höhe Salve on the other side. After the first climb, the panoramic views from the Steiner-Hochalm across to the green mountain world of the Kitzbühler Grasberge are moving. Behind them, the snow-covered Hohe Tauern mountains, which look like they were carved from ivory, offer a beautiful contrast. between, you can always enjoy fantastic views of Lake Hinterstein. Finally views reach the Inn Valley and the ice pyramid of the Großvenediger. Further north you hike from there just a few meters to the view of the rocky world of the Zahmer Kaiser. follow the signs “Wilder-Kaiser-Steig, Steiner-Hochalm”, which will guide us further along. The climb has many bends, mostly on comfortable alpine paths up to the Steiner-Hochalm. Here we head west with the signs “Wilder-Kaiser-Steig, Walleralm”. The path runs through the mountain forest in constant ups and downs, until finally a slope downhill leads to the wide mountain meadows at the Walleralm and the Stöfflhütte. We keep going till we reach Hochegg summit (1470m) to the west. Here we have a break to enjoy Zahmer Kaiser views. Finally we take the way down towards Aschenbrenner and Kufstein.
