Description

The path up to Herzogstand-hut should be fine, but higher up there could still be snow and/or mud so we might have to turn around before reaching the peak.

The temperature is around 5° colder than in Munich, so bring layered warm clothing, also there might be a light drizzle so a small umbrella wouldnt hurt

There is a gondola lift (10€ per ride) that can be used as a shortcut if necessary

Construction on the tracks between Munich and Pasing will start this weekend, we cannot board the train at Hauptbahnhof, it starts from Pasing

Train departs at 08:05 from Pasing track 3, be there at least 10 minutes early to get a seat

Bus 9608 in the direction Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Urfeld-Jugendherberge (hourly at HH:18)

hike up and down

Bus 9608 back to Kochel (hourly at HH:06)

RB 66 to Munich (hourly at HH:45)
