Route: The route will be slightly different than the one attached to the event - to keep things interesting :) Unfortunately the website seems to have some problems with uploading new routes, so I’m reusing the existing one. Our route: Viganello, S. Siro - Brè sopra Lugano - Monte Boglia - Alpe Bolla - Viganello, S. Siro. The statistics are very similar to the route linked (15km, 1200m up and down). I’ll share the GPX of the route in the chat beforehand.

Pace: Moderate-fast. This is not a hike suitable for beginners.

Starting point: Viganello, S. Siro bus station (not Cassarate, Monte Brè - as in the linked tour)

How to get there: Train EC to Lugano departs from Zurich HB at 7:33. Change in Lugano to bus B 461.

How to get back: The way back is the same, but 1h faster - the train goes through the tunnel on the way back. Optionally we can also go for dinner in Lugano afterwards.

What to take: Regular hiking equipment, in particular comfortable shoes (hiking boots or trail running shoes); food - we’ll have picnic lunch at the top; water; sunscreen; sunglasses. There should be no snow on the route.
