Hi, 

It's going to be a good weekend so I'm planning to Day 2 of Hiking / Outdoor Activities on Sunday.

There is a small Via Ferrata (A/B) called Kofelsteig at this place, which takes about 45 minutes. 

After we reach the summit, there will be a gentle descent over to the Kolbensattel Hutte, which should be open (Betriebszeiten Sommer - Kolbensattel Oberammergau) 

The plan is to relax there, get some food/drinks and then take the Aline Coaster back (EUR 11). 

Event is subject to change and canellation depending on the weather.

From Oberammergau to Starting Point

10:38 AM Bus 9606: Oberammergau Bf -> Hexenstube


Way Back

Way back we can take a look at Google. EV/RB6 combination should leave every hour at XX:35 from Oberammergau Bf to Munich. 


Kindly remember to pack the following essentials:

  • Via Ferrata Kit
  • food and drinks as per your needs. 
  • sundry cash
  • rain/sun protection according to the latest weather forecast (most probably sunny)
  • Alpenverein / mountain insurance recommended
  • first aid kit for emergencies  recommended
  • headlamp for emergencies recommended
