Does anyone have experience with the Murren klettersteig and can advise how important a helmet is, i.e., are there lots of vertical sections with rockfall potential? Would normally wear a helmet but would rather not carry it for 2 days if not so critical... here it looks not so bad: https://www.bergsteigen.com/fileadmin/userdaten/tour/topo/22318/muerren-gimmelwald-klettersteig-topo.png

I am taking the decision to postpone it to the following weekend, rather because of the big snow patches left (I just checked the webcams - I don't want a T4 in the snow) than the weather. I will free the slots tonight (8 pm) at the hut, in case you're interested in taking some of them. If the last weekend of June doesn't work for you, please unjoin the event.

I am super interested in this event, but I don't have via ferrata experience yet, can I use this event to gain knowledge on via ferrata?

Hopefully there won't be change in weather. If we keep that route (Ronggergrat), please bring spikes, so that we can deal with potential snow fields without having to turn back.

Please confirm your participation on the Whatsapp group today. Last day to drop out if you need to. After that you'll need to find a replacement or pay for your spot in case of no-show.

We're 10 confirmed, I adjusted the reservation for 10 people only. If you are late joiner (meaning today or tomorrow), you will need to book your spot at the hut but it'll be covered by Arc'teryx (we can sponsor 12 participants). https://www.alpsonline.org/reservation/calendar?hut_id=404
