Hoi hikers,


The capricious April weather made it possible to do a last snowshoe hike this season! Let's take this unique opportunity and go to near St. Antönien, first on the Rätikon Panorama trail then going up to the Eggberg.

How to get there:

Journey by public transport: ZH HB - Landquart - Schiers - Stels, Mottis bus stop

The train (IC 3 to Chur) departs at 07:38 from ZH HB. 

Journey by car: Use gps. Note: This is not a roundtrip.


Meeting point:
  9:25 AM - Stels, Mottis bus stop

Attention: The map is just a guide. I reserve the right to change (shorten) the route according to the weather and avalanche conditions (bypassing the peaks). 

Short hike option: Joining only for the 1st part: 10,7 km/670 hm
 
Hike:
  • The hike will last ca. 6,5-7 hours with a lot of viewpoints.
  • The pace will be medium/fast with enough time to admire the landscape.
  • Short picnic lunch break somewhere halfway.

Note: This hike is not suitable for beginners. 


Equipment:
  • SNOWSHOES, proper hiking boots, poles, food, enough water, proper (warm) clothes acc. to the weather, good mood and fitness.
