Join us for an easy Hiking Adventure to Wendelstein!

Hello fellow adventurers!

The weather forecast looks promising, so let’s make the most of this holiday's Thursday if you will be in Munich and haven't made any plans yet, Let's go on an Easy/Moderate hike to Wendelstein. It’s great with stunning views, making it an ideal choice for a day out in nature.

Event Details:

  • Meeting Point: MUC Hbf, 8.20
  • Transport: Grab a Deutschland ticket (€49) or your preferred day ticket.
  • Introduction & Gear Check: Get to know each other and ensure you have the right gear.
  • Train Departure: Catch RB 55 from Munich at 8.30 AM to Bayrischzell,
  • Hike Start: Arrive at the hiking starting point around 9.56 AM, aiming to start hiking by ~10.00 AM.
  • Hiking Time: Approx. 5 hours, with 1 or 2 short breaks before a lunch break at the peak.
  • Return Journey: Take RB 55 from Bayrischzell, at 16.02 back to Munich, aiming to reach around 17.30.

Things to Bring: -

  • A Happy Face :)
  • 49Euro Deutschlandticket 
  • Hiking shoes
  • Trekking/hiking poles.
  • Gloves and Warm cloths
  • Food and water (2lt) : The hut is open
  • Downloaded GPX map

Optional:

  • Headlamp.
  • Rain jacket.
  • Sunglasses/protection glasses(transparent).

We will move with a leisurely pace of 300-350hm

Disclaimer: Hiking Buddies Munich is not a group of professional mountain guides but individuals gathering for sports activities.
