Join us for a easy & spontaneous Hiking Adventure to Wallberg!

Hello fellow adventurers!

The weather forecast looks promising, so let’s make the most of this holiday's Wednesday if you are still in Munich and haven't made any plans yet, Let's go on an Easy/Moderate hike to wallberg. It’s great with stunning views peak view and also way back beautiful Tegernsee, making it an ideal choice for a day out in nature.

The route passes by the following peaks:

  • Wallberg (1722 m)
  • Bärenwand (1156 m)

Event Details:

  • Meeting Point: MUC Hbf, between 8.30
  • Transport: Grab a Deutschland ticket (€49) or your preferred day ticket.
  • Introduction & Gear Check: Get to know each other and ensure you have the right gear.
  • Train Departure: Catch RB 57 09.03 from Munich to Tegernsee & then,356 to Kreuth, Klamm at 10:17 and and getting down at 10:27 AM at Rottach-Egern, Post.
  • Hike Start: Arrive at the hiking starting point around 10.30 AM.
  • Hiking Time: Approx. 4 hours, with 1 or 2 short breaks only if needed and a 45mins-1hr lunch break at the peak.
  • Return Journey: Take Bus 359 at 15.33 from Rottach-Egern to Tegernsee bhf, and we stroll around the lake and take RB 57 from around 17.50 back to Munich, aiming to reach around 19.00.


Things to Bring: -

  • A Happy Face :)
  • 49Euro Deutschlandticket 
  • Hiking shoes
  • Trekking/hiking poles.
  • Food and water (2 litres): The Hut is open still.
  • Downloaded GPX map

Optional:

  • Headlamp.
  • Rain jacket.
  • Sunglasses/protection glasses(transparent).

We will move with a leisurely pace of 300-350hm

Disclaimer: Hiking Buddies Munich is not a group of professional mountain guides but individuals gathering for sports activities. Each participant is responsible for himself and has to be prepared, bring suitable equipment, and check if you have the required physical fitness. Good morning all 🌅, Hope to see you all in an hour or so, We meet in Hbf around 8.30 - 8.50, as today is 1st May, make sure you have your Deutschland ticket handy. Not much change in the weather prediction, the huts up would be open. Let me know if any questions or concerns. kind Regards, Soumya
