Don't have anything better to do, so let's go hiking 😜
We'll start in sunny Ticino and end up in sunny Graubünden. Might be, that 🌅 happened. But that'll be allright.
Note that there's quite some ascent ⬆️ and descent ⬇️ on the tour - about 1'700m up and down! Make sure that's cool with you. Especially for the way down I strongly suggest to use hiking poles.
As usual on my hikes, I plan to finish in a restaurant in Roveredo. If somebody has some suggestions, please let me know. Tbh, I don't yet know whether there's anything at all…
· 🚶 Start point (for the hike): Bellinzona Stazione
· 🏁 Destination: Roveredo
· ⏳ Duration: 8 hours of hiking ⚠️
· ↔️ Distance: 20 km
· ⬆️ Ascent: 1'770 hm ⚠️
· ⬇️ Descent: 1'713 hm ⚠️
(Note: data taken from swisstopo. Different apps calculate these data differently.)
Equipment
· Hiking poles: STRONGLY Suggested
· Proper boots
· Maybe layers of clothes
· Sun protection
· Water: something to drink — about 2l. There are not many fountains along the way.
· Picnic: I'll aim to have a break about every 10km. And in the middle we'll have a break for "lunch".

Public transportation
Meeting point: Meet in the train IC 2 leaving from platform 5. I will come from Winterthur and rush to the platform. I'll try to reserve seats. As soon as I know where the seats are, I'll update — this will be on the evening before, after 20:00.
I highly doubt that SBB will reserve, though. So be prepared to manage to travel alone from Zürich 3 stops to Bellinzona…
Back from ROVEREDO at the evening
It very much depends on the time we arrive at the destination. There's a connection every 1 hour until 21:42.
Tickets
Make sure to have tickets for the trains/busses.
