This hike is combination of Alpine Panorama Trail and 26Summits challenge.

Route 3 Alpine Panorama Trail
The Alpine Panorama Trail from Bodensee to Lac Léman promises many views of Alpine peaks as well as of the Mittelland and Jura. The route leads through the traditional agricultural landscape of the Alpine foothills, still dominated by milk and cheese production.

This is 5th year of challenge. You collect points for every summit you reach and can take part in the raffle for great competition prizes. The harder you hike, the higher you will climb the rankings. Participants who have climbed all 26 peaks can take part in the draw for the main prize – a guided Matterhorn tour worth CHF 3,000, sponsored by Red Bull. Pack your hiking backpack and off you go!

Hike Details

We leave from Wolhusen and climb towards Steinhuserberg (steep), we pass Waldighubel (1105 m) and reach Gitzichnubel (1043 m) around noon where we break for lunch. Then we do the final climb to the Napf summit (1’408m) where we will find code to complete the challenge.

Transportation
THIS HIKE IS NOT A LOOP - WE ARE ARRIVING BY TRAIN - HIKING TOGETHER - GOING BACK BY TRAIN/BUS FROM ANOTHER PLACE.


You make (and pay) your own travel arrangements.

Pace
This is a medium pace hike.

Food
Please take your own food and drinks:
- Warm/cold drinks in isotherm bottles (at least 1,5L of water)
- Snacks for the road
- Packed lunch for lunch-break

Gear
Please come with proper hiking gear:
- Hiking boots with a good grip
- Hiking poles if you have knee problems
- Headlamp (your mobile phone is not a lamp)
- Multiple layers of clothes (inc. warm clothes). It will be cold out there.
- Rain and/or sun protection (inc. sunglasses and hat)
- Swimming gear (for lake or river swimming, if you fancy)

Cancellations
Up to 12 hours before the event (before 9:15pm Friday), you can unregister on hiking buddies website.

In case you change your mind in the 12 hours before the start of the event (after 9:15pm Friday), please let me know, so I won’t mark you as “no-show”. No-show means you will be restricted to participate in future hikes.

Safety notices

I am not a professional guide. Everybody is responsible for him/herself. Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download the route (it can be found on this page) and bring a mobile phone and first aid kit for emergencies.
