Let's hike to Bärenkopf followed by a dip in the Achensee!
More information on what to expect: https://www.tourentipp.com/de/touren/baerenkopf-bergwanderung_1496.html#anchor_69df8924_Accordion-Karten-und-Routenskizze
We maintain a moderate pace. This hike is not for beginners.
Thanks to Marco for the Route & Descprition:
Bärenkopf (1991m) is the easternmost summit of Karwendel. Much smaller than the biggest peaks of Karwendel but still it stands alone as a summit and offers very nice views so I think it is totally worthy to climb its summit. Bärenkopf is the highest point of a secondary ridge of the Rappenspitze - Stanser Joch ridge, the easternmost subgroup of the Karwendel mountains. As said it is a great viewpoint with great views of Rofan, Karwendel and Achensee. The view of the Achensee is second to none!
Things to bring:
- Hiking shoes
- Food/drinks for the whole day
- Hiking poles (optional), head lamp, sunglasses
- Download.gpx file in advance and ready with import to your tracking app/’s. Example gpx viewer
- First Aid Kit
- DAV Membership (nice to have)
- Swimming gear (we can leave stuff not needed while hiking e.g. towels etc. in the car)
- Most importantly, a good mood 😊
Disclaimer: I am not a mountain guide, so please be aware that you join at your own risk.
